This is an exciting opportunity to join our Young Carers Team within Care and Support and Disabled Children’s Services as an apprentice. Working in a supportive and rewarding environment, you’ll help deliver activities and services that make a real difference to the lives of young carers across Torfaen.
In this varied role, you’ll support the delivery of group sessions, wellbeing activities and outreach work, helping to create safe, inclusive environments where young carers can connect, build confidence and access support. You’ll also assist with awareness\-raising in schools and communities, work with partner organisations, and contribute to maintaining accurate records and service delivery.
We are looking for individuals with a positive and empathetic approach, strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. Whether you are starting your career or looking to retrain, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop practical skills, gain valuable experience within children’s services, and complete a recognised apprenticeship qualification. Lived experience of caring responsibilities is welcomed but not essential.
