Blaenau Gwent is seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Educational Psychologist to support the Principal Educational Psychologist in providing strategic leadership and management to the Educational Psychology Service.

As a Senior Educational Psychologist, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering high\-quality psychological services across the local authority. You will contribute to strategic development, service innovation, and collaborative working to improve outcomes for children and young people. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver local authority\-wide projects, demonstrating impact at system level.


• Provide professional supervision and support to members of the Educational Psychology Service, Trainee Educational Psychologists, school staff and other professionals.


• Contribute to the strategic direction and development of the Educational Psychology Service.


• Support workforce development through training, consultation, and capacity building.


• Work collaboratively with multi\-agency partners to promote inclusion and wellbeing.


• Maintain high standards of applied psychological practice across the service.

• Proven experience of leading and delivering local authority\-wide initiatives or projects.


• Strong skills in supervision, coaching, and professional support for a range of practitioners.
