Workshop\-Based Plant Fitter – Sandbach

As our business continues to grow, we are investing heavily in our future, including a £2 million refurbishment of our head office and the expansion of our team. To support this continued growth, we are seeking a proactive and experienced Workshop\-Based Plant Fitter to join our depot in Sandbach.
Key Responsibilities of a Workshop\-Based Plant Fitter:
- Diagnose and repair faults on a wide range of heavy plant equipment, including excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, and generators ranging from 0\.5 to 20 tonnes.
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance to ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently.
- Perform hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic fault\-finding and repairs.
- Complete accurate service reports, inspection records, and parts documentation.
- Maintain high workshop standards, ensuring tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe.
- Adhere to all company health and safety procedures and policies.
Requirements of a Workshop\-Based Plant Fitter
- Level 1 Certificate in Plant Maintenance or Level 2 Diploma in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent industry experience).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good diagnostic and problem\-solving skills.
- A reasonable level of physical fitness.
- Ability to work efficiently, flexibly, and with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship.
