As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Business Development Manager to strengthen those relationships, identify new opportunities, and support our expansion into new markets.
The Role
This is a varied and hands\-on role that combines business development, account management, technical support, and commercial strategy. Acting as a key point of contact for customers, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, supporting existing accounts, and helping to drive sustainable growth across the business.
We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, quick to learn, and comfortable discussing technical products with customers. A basic understanding of engineering principles would be advantageous, but full product training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities within existing and target markets.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of customer accounts, building trusted relationships to drive customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Conduct regular customer and prospect visits to understand requirements and identify opportunities.
- Host customer visits, meetings, and product demonstrations on site.
- Prepare accurate quotations and support customers throughout the sales process.
- Deliver excellent customer service, providing technical support and responding to customer enquiries.
- Attend and represent the company at industry exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events.
- Research opportunities to expand into new markets, sectors, and customer groups.
- Support the development and growth of the company webshop.
- Work closely with design and workshop teams to support product innovation and identify market trends.
- Provide customer and market feedback to support business planning and product development.
- Proactive, self\-motivated, and able to identify and pursue new opportunities.
- Personable and confident, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- An excellent communicator who enjoys meeting people and developing trusted partnerships.
- Honest and professional, with the ability to balance customer expectations with operational capability.
