Mechanical Design Engineer

Position: permanent, full time

Salary: £37,000 – £42,000 p/a

All products are proudly designed, developed, and manufactured in the UK.

Role Description

This full\-time on\-site role is based in Ednaston and involves developing innovative product designs, optimizing mechanical systems, and collaborating with cross\-functional teams. Responsibilities include creating technical drawings, utilizing CAD software, and ensuring designs align with safety and performance standards. The Design Engineer will also work on refining electrical and mechanical elements, contributing to new product development and enhancing existing solutions to meet customer\-specific requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Design Engineering and Product Design for creating effective, customer\-focused solutions.

  • Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering, ensuring the functionality, durability, and efficiency of designs.

  • Expertise in CAD (SolidEdge/NX) for generating technical drawings and 3D models.

  • Knowledge of Electrical Engineering for integrating electrical systems into mechanical designs.

  • Excellent problem\-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail to ensure high\-quality work.

  • Capability to work collaboratively with cross\-functional teams and adapt to project needs.

  • Good communication skills to present ideas and technical concepts effectively.

  • Relevant degree in design or engineering disciplines is essential.
