Bar Manager - Weddings and Events
Grangefields Barn is a stunning wedding venue set in the beautiful surrounding countryside of Derbyshire, run by Cripps Barn Group (https://crippsbarn.com/) an established family business, initially set up in the late nineties in the Cotswolds. We specialise in beautiful rural wedding venues across the UK, with an emphasis on unbeatable food prepared on our custom made, giant BBQ’s and open kitchens.
We take care of all the details, ensuring our guests have a perfect day, delivered by our dedicated team. The Barn has been open for over 5 years and we are now looking for an experienced Bar Manager in weddings and events ahead of a busy wedding season.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the bar operations as well as ensuring strict cleaning regimes of the bar and back of house areas are adhered to.
- Ensure on\-going success as a venue of choice.
- Demonstrate excellent levels of customer service at every stage of the process from start to finish to deliver an exceptional experience ensuring events in line with their specification and to meet and exceed standards for customer service, staff professionalism and troubleshooting, remaining commercially viable at all times.
- Be involved in hosting viewings and monitoring sales and performance of the venue against targets set and drive conversion rates. Be financially aware of decisions made and how this affects the accounts.
- Manage and motivate the bar teams, ensuring effective teamwork and communication.
- Foster a positive working environment that encourages team collaboration and development.
- Be responsible for stock ordering and rotation.
- Be proactive in providing training sessions for the team to enhance their drinks and service knowledge including cocktail service.
- Be responsible for the close down of the site at the end of the evening and ensuring security protocol is adhered to.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality sector is essential.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage practices as well as cellar management.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with employees and customers alike.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including regular evening and weekend working.
- DPS qualification would be advantageous.
Job Type: Full\-time
Pay: £36,000\.00 per year
