We are looking for a kind, caring and reliable carer, or couple, to join our family and care for our lovely mam, an elderly lady living with dementia.
ACCOMMODATION
A private, self\-contained one\-bedroom apartment attached to the family home in Ashbourne, Co. Meath.
Accommodation and all bills included, along with a weekly wage for the agreed care shifts.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for someone who is patient, compassionate and understanding, with experience caring for an elderly lady with dementia.
We would love to find someone who will blend into our family, build a lovely relationship with Mam and help her feel safe, comfortable and cared for in her own home.
Mam's family all live nearby and are actively involved in her care. Family members will be available to help and assist on different days, providing support to the successful candidate.
We are hoping to find someone who will become part of our family care team and provide Mam with companionship, kindness and support.
SHIFTS \& ROSTER
\- Shifts will include 4 day shifts and 4 night shifts.
\- Night shifts will be sleeping nights, with occasional assistance if required.
\- A monthly roster will be agreed and provided in advance.
\- Actual days and hours will be discussed and agreed with a suitable candidate.
\- The weekly wage will also be discussed with suitable candidates.
\- The family is flexible regarding days off, and these can be discussed when arranging the roster.
\- Most weekends will be off.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for someone who is:
\- Experienced in caring for elderly people with dementia.
\- Kind, patient, compassionate and trustworthy.
\- Garda vetted.
\- Able to provide excellent references.
\- A good communicator.
\- Someone who genuinely enjoys caring for older people and would be happy to blend into a family environment.
We would also be very happy to hear from a couple who may be interested in this arrangement.
