Sport RCT is seeking two individuals to support its Community Sport team in facilitating and delivering an increase in community capacity to provide sustainable sport and physical activity participation opportunities across Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Working as part of the Community Sport and Physical Activity team, postholders will assist in the development, implementation and review of the Community Sport and Physical Activity Plan, support the delivery of priority programmes and projects, and work closely with community organisations to build their capacity to deliver increased participation opportunities.

The role involves supporting the sporting and physical activity infrastructure within specific geographic areas based on population need, collaborating with internal departments and external partners, and helping to ensure the quality and consistency of services delivered. Postholders will collect and report on performance data, research evidence and management information, deliver sport and physical activity sessions and upskilling opportunities in line with relevant qualifications, and promote the benefits of regular physical activity to partners, stakeholders and the public.

The role also requires supporting delivery organisations and personnel to develop the skills and knowledge needed to provide sustainable opportunities, reflecting on outcomes to inform future service development, and committing to ongoing personal learning and professional development.

If you would like to informally discuss the role please contact Gavin Bennett on 07880 044523\.
