The Learning Disabilities Daytime Opportunities Service is seeking to recruit self\-motivated, enthusiastic team members to work across the East and West areas of Rhondda Cynon Taf, on a casual basis. You will cover staff absences across either the East or West areas of Rhondda Cynon Taf.
The service has a number of centres/projects that provide care, support, and meaningful daytime opportunities to individuals with learning disabilities, including autism, and complex health needs. Provision meets a wide range of needs from personal care to engaging people in structured activities both in groups and on a one\-to\-one basis. Active participation and the involvement of the individual with a learning disability are central to all delivery.
Experience of providing care and support in a respectful manner to people with a learning disability is desirable, as is the ability to support people to access a range of community\-based opportunities.
You will be required to use ICT resources effectively, have excellent written and verbal skills to maintain records. Also, to communicate effectively with individuals in receipt of the service and with health and social care professionals.
You will be provided with an induction, the provision of Social Care qualifications, ongoing training, and supervision to support you to conduct your work to the expected standard in a person centred, outcome focused manner.
Due to the nature of the post, you will be required to travel independently to workplace settings throughout the RCT area.
