CAD \& Technical Design Assistant

We are looking for a detail\-oriented and technically minded CAD \& Technical Design Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience using CAD software, Adobe Creative Suite and Raptor, with a good understanding of technical drawings and the ability to interpret design specifications accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce, amend and maintain technical drawings and CAD designs.

  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications and design information accurately.

  • Use CAD software to create and modify drawings to the required standards.

  • Use Adobe Creative Suite to prepare, edit and present drawings, layouts and supporting documentation.

  • Use Raptor software as part of the design and production process.

  • Ensure drawings and designs are accurate, clear and completed within required timescales.

  • Work closely with designers, engineers, production teams and other departments to ensure designs meet project requirements.

  • Make revisions to drawings based on feedback and project changes.

  • Maintain organised records of drawings, files and revisions.

  • Identify potential issues or discrepancies in drawings and raise them with the relevant team members.

  • Follow company procedures, quality standards and drawing specifications.
Essential Skills \& Experience
  • Previous experience working with CAD software.

  • Experience using Adobe software, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop or Acrobat.

  • Experience with Raptor or similar design/technical software.

  • A good understanding of technical drawings, plans and specifications.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to interpret measurements, dimensions, scales and technical information.

  • Good organisational and time\-management skills.

  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.

  • Good communication skills and a practical, problem\-solving approach.
Desirable
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, construction, signage, graphics or similar technical environment.

  • Understanding of production processes and how designs translate into finished products.

  • Experience working from customer specifications or project briefs.

  • Relevant qualification in CAD, design, engineering or a related discipline.
The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be technically minded, organised and detail\-focused, with the ability to take technical information and turn it into accurate, production\-ready drawings and designs. They should be comfortable working across different software platforms and confident reading and understanding technical drawings.

Pay: €32,000\.00\-€35,000\.00 per year
