We are currently seeking an experienced full time Warehouse Supervisor for Weald Packaging Supplies Ltd

This role is designed to be a challenging and rewarding opportunity to organise the warehousing and logistics team in handling the flow of goods in to and out of the business successfully. This role is key to the success of our operations in achieving company objectives, maintaining relationships with our customer base and operating a quality service as efficiently as possible. The successful candidate will directly report to our operations manager and supervise a team of four in our warehouse \& logistics function.

The role will be full\-time based at our Buxted premises, with hours of 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Weald Packaging Supplies is an independent family run company established in 1983\. We supply the food industry with a wide range of packaging, ingredients, and sundries across the UK. Our existing team of twelve are friendly, professional, and committed to growing the business. The company has seen a strong period of growth with a strategic vision for continued growth over the next 5 years. We are looking for additional staff who can really add value and help make the business aims a reality.

The role includes but is not limited to:

• To oversee the day to day management of the warehouse operation, customer order fulfilment functions and associated processes/procedures. To ensure the delivery of goods OTIF to customers, aiding the business in achieving its customer service targets.


• To supply a first class Operations service, both internally, to all areas of the business, and externally to customers and suppliers to support the achievement of the business aims and objectives.


• To put in place appropriate structure so that the operations team understand their daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities \& have an organised way of working to ensure completion of all tasks on time.


• To maintain fully documented processes for all warehouse tasks which are shared with the team, and to ensure that these are followed to enable consistently high service levels.


• To oversee the day\-to\-day running of the site to ensure it is operated safely, in line with HSE guidance.


• Making decisions on the best logistics method for delivery such as route planning \& using our own vehicles vs 3rd parties etc.


• To monitor the performance of the operations team, keeping track of errors and any process failures, working with the operations manager to resolve issues.


• Liaising with customers, suppliers and staff members to deal with queries.


• Aiding to achieve the companies five year vision for growth and expansion.

Skills, Experience, Knowledge \& Personal Attributes

• 5\+ years Warehouse supervisory or management experience (Team management, job scheduling, order allocations etc)


• 5\+ years Experience in planning delivery routes/schedules


• 5\+ years Experience managing efficient goods in \& out processes


• Experienced in identifying health and safety risks \+ finding solutions to mitigate risk wherever possible


• Excellent Communicator \& Relationship builder


• Able to motivate and lead effectively in an approachable and decisive manner, fostering a welcoming environment while maintaining clear and firm guidance.


• To be able to work independently and take initiative.


• Highly organised with excellent delegation skills.


• Ability to multi task and juggle competing priorities effectively.


• Able to identify problems and find solutions quickly.


• Forklift Truck License (Refresher training will be provided)

Training will be provided at our offices in Buxted, free parking on site, company pension and bonus scheme.
