About the Role
As Reception Manager, you will lead and inspire the front office and night teams to deliver a seamless and memorable guest experience. From day\-to\-day operations to staff development and training, you’ll be at the heart of our hospitality journey \-ensuring excellence, efficiency, and warmth at every turn.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and motivate the reception and nights teams to deliver world\-class service.
- Support the Duty Manager in daily operations and act as a key point of contact for all front office activities.
- Ensure reception shifts are well\-managed and all tasks are completed to high standards.
- Manage weekly and monthly rotas, incorporating holiday and training requirements.
- Recruit, onboard, and support new team members.
- Handle guest enquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Maintain cash handling procedures, including float management and petty cash records.
- Attend weekly Function Sheet meetings and liaise with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee and update health \& safety documentation for reception.
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development via our in\-house learning platform.
- Promote and uphold brand standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Encourage upselling and ensure the team is knowledgeable about all hotel products and services.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a hotel reception environment.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional phone and front\-desk manner.
- Experience using Opera PMS (Property Management System).
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
