Transport Administrator

The Transport Administrator will support with the efficient and smooth running of our transport department. You will need to be a professional and reliable individual, with excellent communication skills in order to provide a high level of service to our internal and external customers. The working hours will be Monday to Friday with 37 ½ hours a week. These hours can be flexible, however they will include 1 in 4 Saturdays, operated on a team rota basis. Holiday cover will also be required within the wider transport team.
Key Responsibilities in this role include;
- Understand regulations applying to the operation of a transport department
- Inputting daily / weekly POD Paperwork
- Operating a variety of IT\-systems as required
- Follow customer specific procedures
- Maintain regular contact and communication with the Driving team
- Support with Ad\-hoc tasks delegated from the Transport Planners
- General administration – updating reports, scanning/filing paperwork.
- Maintain and control effective stock levels of PPE
- Previous experience working in a transport office
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Capable of working to a high level of accuracy in all tasks
- Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
- Experience using IT systems particularly Microsoft Office
- Experience working in a busy office environment
- Experience of working with telematics systems
- Ability to use own initiative / apply problem solving skills
- Compliant with local legislative requirements \& company policies and procedures
- Self motivated
Pay: £26,000\.00\-£30,000\.00 per year
