Finance Team Manager (Strategic) maternity leave cover, fixed\-term contract to 28 February 2027
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to make an immediate contribution in a key leadership role. We are looking for a forward\-thinking and innovative interim Finance Team Manager to join the Council’s Finance Team as maternity leave cover.
Following the implementation of the Unit 4 ERPx system in April 2023, we are committed to further enhancing our financial management and processes, and we need your expertise to drive these improvements forward.
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the annual budget, overseeing the budget monitoring process and ensuring accurate reporting to Cabinet. You will lead the financial planning team and manage the preparation of the statutory statement of accounts.
We are looking for a CCAB qualified accountant with proven experience in financial management and budget setting in both revenue and capital accounting, ideally within local government and having knowledge of the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) would be advantageous
36\.25 hrs per week with a starting annual salary of £52,413 pa pro rata to length of contract (pay award pending)
