We are a friendly, compliant, tipper haulage company, with a DVSA Earned Recognition accreditation, supplying aggregates across to construction companies. With a large fleet of tipper vehicles on the move every day, our transport office is the heartbeat of our business. We are looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Transport Planner to join our close\-knit team.
No experience in logistics? No problem. We pride ourselves on our welcoming, supportive environment and will teach you everything you need to know.
Your Role
As a Trainee Transport Planner, you will learn the ropes from our experienced team. Your day\-to\-day duties will grow to include:
- Route Planning: Helping to schedule and route our large fleet of tipper vehilces efficiently.
- Customer Service: Taking orders from clients and keeping them updated on delivery times.
- Driver Communication: Staying in touch with our drivers throughout the day to help resolve any issues on the road.
- Admin Support: Using our transport software to log jobs, check compliance, and keep paperwork accurate.
This role is an entry\-level position perfect for a recent school or college leaver. We are looking for someone who has:
· Education: We would like you to have been educated to a good level with good grades at GCSE and A level / BTEC passes.
· Great Communication: A friendly, confident telephone manner and the ability to talk to drivers and customers alike.
· Solid IT Skills: Basic confidence using computers (Word, Excel, and emails).
· Problem\-Solving Skills: The ability to stay calm and think on your feet when plans change.
· Geographical Awareness: A decent baseline knowledge of Midlands geography (or a willingness to learn it fast!).
· A Great Attitude: Reliable, eager to learn, and a true team player.
