No previous appliance repair experience is required. We provide structured training, practical guidance and hands\-on experience to help you develop into a confident and professional engineer.

You will learn alongside experienced engineers, developing the knowledge and skills needed to diagnose, repair and service a wide range of domestic appliances. As your confidence and ability grow, you will gradually take on more responsibility and progress towards working independently.

Your starting salary will be £25,000 per year, increasing to £30,000 per year upon successful completion of training, subject to demonstrating the required level of competency.

Training usually takes around six months, although the timeframe is not fixed and may vary depending on your progress, practical ability and readiness to work independently.

This is an opportunity to build a long\-term career in a skilled and rewarding industry.

What your training will cover

You will receive training in:

Your development will combine structured technical training with accompanied fieldwork alongside experienced engineers. You will receive support as you build your knowledge, practical ability and confidence.

Training completion will be based on demonstrated competency rather than a fixed time period. While training usually takes around six months, some trainees may complete it sooner, while others may require additional time and support.

What we are looking for

Previous appliance repair experience is not required. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, a practical mindset and a genuine willingness to learn.

You should be:

  • Practical and comfortable using tools Curious about how things work Able to think logically and solve problems Reliable, punctual and organised Willing to learn and take instruction Confident and professional when dealing with customers Comfortable working independently once fully trained Able to use a mobile phone or tablet for job reporting Presentable when working in customers’ homes
Experience in electrical work, mechanical engineering, maintenance, automotive, plumbing, installation or another practical trade would be helpful, but it is not essential.

A positive attitude and genuine interest in developing a technical career are more important.

Driving licence and working area

A full UK driving licence is required, as this will become a mobile, field\-based role.

The position will cover London and surrounding areas, with the exact working area depending on business requirements and customer demand.

Salary progression and career development

Your starting salary will be:

£25,500 per year

Upon successfully completing your training and reaching the required competency level:

Your salary will increase to £30,000 per year

Training usually takes around six months, but completion is not limited to this timeframe. The increase to £30,000 will be based on successfully demonstrating the required technical knowledge, practical ability and readiness to work independently.
