Prosper Fingal, part of the Prosper Group, is a community\-based organisation providing a wide range of health\-related and social services to adults with intellectual disabilities and autism. Location: Swords, Co. Dublin

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: €39,100 \- €56,349 (FTE). Actual salary will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

About the Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Social Care Worker to join our North Street Service in Swords, Co. Dublin. This is a highly individualised, community\-based service directed by the people we support. The role requires flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work independently while supporting individuals to live active and meaningful lives within their local community, and in their own homes.

The successful candidate will support individuals in line with the HSE New Directions policy and Prosper Group values, promoting independence, choice, community participation, and overall wellbeing. Due to the nature of the service, flexibility will be required and working hours may include evenings, early mornings, and weekends based on the needs and preferences of the individuals supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals to identify and achieve personal goals

  • Promote independence and daily living skills required to live independently

  • Support community participation, social inclusion, and relationship building

  • Deliver person\-centred supports in line with individual needs and preferences

  • Work independently and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to support planning
Essential Requirements
  • A third\-level qualification in Social Care or a related discipline

  • CORU registration (or eligibility for registration)

  • Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills

  • Ability to work independently and use initiative

  • A valid and clean Manual Driving Licence

  • Experience working in community\-based services

  • Knowledge of the HSE New Directions framework

  • Experience supporting individuals with behaviours of concern
