Our Kidderminster branch serves trade and project customers across Worcestershire and the West Midlands, and we’re investing to grow our footprint with new accounts and repeat business.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Salesperson who thrives on prospecting, cold outreach, and closing net‑new business. You’ll target high‑potential trades, contractors, developers and commercial accounts, opening doors and converting opportunities into sustained revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Hunt for new business every day: research target lists, drive outbound calls/emails/visits, and build a quality pipeline.
- Own the first meeting to the first order: qualify needs, craft proposals, negotiate, and close with pace.
- Win back dormant/lapsed accounts and expand small accounts into major spenders.
- Deepen local market coverage: map sites, projects and contractors; be visible in yards and on projects.
- Partner with branch operations to ensure quotes, stock, pricing and deliveries land on time.
- Net‑new revenue growth month‑over‑month and quarter‑over‑quarter.
- Consistent conversion rates from first contact to first order.
- Expansion within the first 90 days across priority categories (e.g., timber, paving, heavyside).
- Visible market presence: regular site/yard visits, event attendance, and relationship building.
- Proven track record winning new accounts in builders’ merchants, construction supplies, or related B2B sectors.
- Tenacious, high‑energy hunter mindset with excellent objection handling and closing skills.
- Strong commercial acumen: margin awareness, quote discipline, and negotiation.
- Confident communicator—phone, in‑person, and email—backed by CRM discipline.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally.
- Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission (OTE dependent on experience).
