Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our compassionate team at Ribble Valley Care Home. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our residents receive personalized care and support, enhancing their quality of life while fostering a nurturing atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity.


• Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.


• Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.


• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.


• Ensure medication is administered in a timely manner, documented, and stored correctly.


• Participate in organizing activities that promote engagement and well\-being among residents.


• Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.

Requirements

• Minimum NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care


• Previous experience in a senior care role or similar position is essential.


• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.


• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents and their families.


• Knowledge of care planning processes and best practices in elderly care.


• A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
