Ebanista \& Co is an established bespoke joinery and interiors company with our own manufacturing workshop and spray facilities in Essex.
We are expanding with a new design showroom in the Shenfield/Brentwood area and are looking for someone to take a leading role in it.
This isn’t a standard kitchen designer position.
We’re looking for someone from a high\-end bespoke kitchen, furniture, joinery or interior design background who understands how to design an entire space — not simply place kitchen units into a room.
You’ll work directly with clients from the initial conversation through concept, design and sale, creating kitchens and interiors that can include pantries, utility rooms, bars, media cabinetry, wardrobes, boot rooms, studies, vanity units and other bespoke furniture.
You’ll also become the day\-to\-day face of our new showroom.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in high\-end bespoke kitchens, furniture or interiors
- Strong interior/spatial design ability
- Excellent kitchen and fitted\-furniture design skills
- Confident producing high\-quality CAD/3D presentations
- Commercially minded and comfortable selling £40k–£100k\+ projects
- Able to manage clients and develop relationships with architects and interior designers
- Strong understanding of materials, finishes and detailing
- Comfortable taking ownership of a showroom and building a sales pipeline
- Experience with genuinely bespoke/in\-frame cabinetry is highly desirable
The opportunity
This is a chance to help build something rather than simply inherit somebody else’s showroom.
You’ll work closely with the company owner and our manufacturing team, have significant input into the showroom and product direction, and be able to take projects from the first sketch through to seeing them manufactured in our own workshop.
The package will include a strong basic salary plus uncapped performance\-related commission. If you help grow the showroom and generate significant profitable sales, we want you to benefit financially from that growth.
Experience in volume/retail kitchen sales alone is unlikely to be suitable for this position.
