Senior Joinery Designer

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and creative Senior Joinery Designer to lead the conceptualisation and realisation of bespoke joinery projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in digital design, CAD software, and visual communication, contributing to innovative and high\-quality craftsmanship. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial spaces, ensuring design excellence and client satisfaction.

Duties

• Develop detailed joinery designs using CAD programmes such as Maya, SketchUp, and specialised joinery software.


• Create comprehensive visualisations and presentations employing Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects to communicate concepts effectively.


• Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and project managers to interpret briefs and translate ideas into functional designs.


• Produce technical drawings, specifications, and 3D models that meet industry standards and client requirements.


• Utilise web design skills to develop interactive portfolios or project showcases on digital platforms.


• Conduct photography sessions to document design progress and final installations for promotional purposes.


• Stay abreast of the latest trends in graphic design, digital media, and joinery techniques to ensure innovative outputs.


• Oversee the production process to ensure designs are executed accurately on\-site, maintaining quality control throughout.

• Proven experience in digital design with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in SketchUp, CAD (including Maya), and Adobe Creative Suite applications.


• Demonstrable skills in graphic design, including proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects.


• 2D and 3D design experience.


• Prior involvement in joinery or furniture design projects is preferred, with a solid understanding of technical drawing standards.


• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
