TripleWarm is a West Midlands\-based manufacturer and distributor of Insulated Glass Units, also known as sealed units. The business supplies high\-quality glass solutions for domestic and commercial applications, including double glazed units, triple glazed units, stepped units, magnetic blind units, solar control glass, laminated glass, switchable glass and finishing services.
With over 40 years’ experience in supplying glass for all types of window manufacturing. TripleWarm has built a strong reputation for quality, service and technical expertise.
We are now looking for an experienced Sales Manager to help grow our customer base, and drive sales across our full sealed unit and specialist glass and integral blinds product range.
The Role
As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business and increasing sales across TripleWarm’s sealed unit and processed glass offering.
This role would suit someone who already understands the glazing industry and has experience selling to window manufacturers, installers, fabricators, trade counters, commercial glazing contractors, housebuilders, architects or construction\-related businesses.
You will need to be confident discussing technical product requirements, pricing, lead times, customer specifications and project opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a sales plan to grow revenue across sealed units, double glazing, triple glazing and specialist glass products.
- Identify and approach new customers across the glazing, fenestration, construction and home improvement sectors.
- Promote TripleWarm’s product range, including double glazed units, triple glazed units, stepped units, magnetic blinds, solar control glass, laminated glass and switchable glass.
- Understand customer requirements and provide accurate product advice based on specification, application and performance needs.
- Work closely with the production, estimating and customer service teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Prepare quotes, follow up enquiries and convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends and market opportunities.
- Attend customer meetings, site visits, networking events and industry opportunities where required.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, customer communications and forecasts.
- Report on sales performance, opportunities, challenges and growth areas to the senior team.
The successful candidate must have experience in the glazing, sealed unit, fenestration or wider glass industry.
You should have:
- Proven experience selling sealed units, double glazing, triple glazing, IGUs, glass products or fenestration\-related products.
- Strong understanding of the glazing supply chain.
- Existing industry contacts would be highly advantageous.
- Ability to sell to trade and commercial customers.
- Confidence discussing specifications, glass types, measurements, lead times and project requirements.
- Strong negotiation and account management skills.
- Experience generating new business as well as managing existing accounts.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to spot growth opportunities.
- Excellent communication and relationship\-building skills.
- A proactive, self\-motivated and target\-driven approach.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience selling to window installers, fabricators, builders’ merchants, architects or commercial glazing contractors.
- Knowledge of specialist glass products such as integral blinds, solar control glass, laminated glass, privacy/switchable glass or processed glass.
- Previous experience managing a sales territory or regional customer base.
- Understanding of manufacturing lead times, order processing and technical estimating.
We are looking for someone who is commercially sharp, confident with customers and genuinely understands the sealed unit and double glazing market.
This is not a generic sales role. We need someone who can walk into conversations with glazing customers and understand what they are asking for – whether that is standard double glazed units, triple glazed units, stepped units, integral blinds or more specialist glass requirements.
The ideal person will be hands\-on, ambitious and comfortable balancing new business development with long\-term account management.
