Sales Administrator

We are seeking a highly organised and detail\-oriented Sales Administrator to join our internal sales team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the sales function by processing orders, preparing quotations, and ensuring the smooth day\-to\-day administration of sales activities.

To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate strong organisational skills, accuracy in data handling, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Delivering excellent internal and external customer service is essential.

The Sales Administrator acts as a vital link between the sales team, customers, and internal departments, ensuring all sales processes are executed accurately and efficiently to support business growth.

Job Details

  • Job Type: Full\-time

  • Hours: 37\.5 hours per week

  • Salary: £26,500 (minimum wage baseline, subject to company bonuses)

  • Holidays: 25 days annual leave

  • Pension Scheme: Company contributory

  • Probation Period: 6 months
Key Responsibilities
  • Process and manage sales orders accurately and efficiently

  • Prepare and issue customer quotations in a timely manner

  • Maintain and update CRM systems with customer and order data

  • Provide administrative support to the sales team

  • Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with internal procedures

  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., logistics, finance) to ensure smooth order fulfilment

  • Handle incoming calls and emails, directing queries appropriately

  • Support general office administration tasks as needed
Skills \& Competencies
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)

  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively

  • Customer\-focused approach with a professional manner

  • Experience using CRM systems (preferred but not essential)

  • Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
Qualifications
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths

  • Additional administrative or business\-related qualifications (desirable but not essential)
