Restaurant Supervisor
To help our established, professional and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to further enthuse, develop, lead and motivate our loyal team to deliver quality service to guests and help coordinate our wonderful, classic 60 – 80 seat restaurant at The Petersham, an iconic, buzzing, fine dining / fine wine restaurant. Privately owned, The Petersham (with 61 bedrooms) overlooks the famous bend in the River Thames at Richmond, Surrey. Open for breakfast, Lunch and Afternoon Tea, Dinner and exclusive use. A fabulous, enthusiastic and professional Restaurant Supervisor is required with the highest of standards, with good experience and impeccable attention to detail.
Main Duties of Responsibilities:
- Manage aspects of the restaurant \& F\&B service, quality and standard administrative functions, ensuring the delivery of superior service to maximise guest satisfaction.
- Assist with the process of interviewing new staff, help select, train and supervise.
- Continuous, close and positive working relationship with our Restaurant Manager, passionate new Head Chef and Kitchen brigade and General Manager.
- Generally liaise with The Petersham Events, Sales \& Marketing team to execute our busy calendar of culinary events throughout the year. See www.petershamhotel.co.uk/culinary\-calendar/
- Assist with liaising directly with clients and larger exclusive\-use bookings within the restaurant.
- Be knowledgeable of all the F\&B products sold in the hotel and be able to communicate offerings to our guests
- Responsible for the delivery of high\-quality, consistent and timely F\&B service with the running of private events for a particular service
- Be fully conversant with all menus, including wine/beverages and help to ensure team members are fully confident with every product
- Help to ensure all menus, wine lists, and bar lists are up to date, correct and in clean order.
The individual should possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to perform the essential functions of the role.
- Excellent knowledge of restaurant practices and service techniques.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to delegate tasks.
- Ability to work in a high\-output environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, professional ethics, and an understanding of work\-life
- balance in relation to mental health are desirable.
- Good understanding of high\-quality, fine dining restaurants, market and industry
- Professional and well\-prepared to attend meetings, both internal and client\-based.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of restaurant reservation booking systems like ‘ Book a Table’ and
- General hospitality, computer competence, and literacy requiredREQUIRED
