Registered Nurse – Private Household (Live\-In or Live\-Out)

Overview

This is an immediately available opportunity. We are urgently seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide dedicated care and support to the elderly parents of a high\-net\-worth family based in Blackburn.

This is a unique opportunity for an outstanding nursing professional looking to work in a private household environment rather than a traditional hospital or care home setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the comfort, wellbeing, dignity and quality of life of two much\-loved family members.

The position can be offered on either a live\-in or live\-out basis. Luxury accommodation is available within a substantial private residence for candidates seeking a live\-in role.

We are looking for someone who combines excellent clinical skills with warmth, professionalism, discretion and a genuinely caring nature.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high\-quality nursing care tailored to the individual needs of the clients

  • Monitor and assess health conditions, reporting any concerns promptly

  • Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with prescribed treatment plans

  • Maintain detailed and accurate clinical records

  • Support mobility, comfort and daily wellbeing requirements

  • Liaise with GPs, consultants, therapists and other healthcare professionals as required

  • Attend and accompany clients to medical appointments where necessary

  • Assist in developing and implementing care plans

  • Respond appropriately to medical concerns and emergencies

  • Provide reassurance, companionship and emotional support

  • Maintain the highest standards of dignity, confidentiality and professionalism at all times

  • Work collaboratively with family members and any other care staff involved in the clients' care
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse qualification with active NMC registration

  • Previous experience caring for elderly patients

  • Strong clinical assessment and medication management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Professional, discreet and trustworthy approach

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of care delivery

  • Calm and confident manner in a private household environment

  • Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential

  • Right to work in the United Kingdom
Working Pattern

Flexible arrangements available depending on the successful candidate.

Options may include:

  • 12\-hour day shifts

  • 12\-hour night shifts

  • Live\-in rotational arrangements

  • Full\-time permanent schedule
The family is willing to structure the role around the right individual.
