What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting delivery of major highways schemes across the Midlands

  • Applying cost intelligence principles to improve project performance

  • Working across both pre contract and post contract phases

  • Producing cost estimates, forecasts, and reports that drive decision\-making

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across clients, consultants and contractors
Grade: Consultant

Location: Birmingham \| Midlands Region

Discipline: Consultancy Quantity Surveying (RICS Accredited)

Department: Commercial Funding \& Finance (Programmes \& Advisory)

Here's what you'll need
✅ A degree in Quantity Surveying or qualified by experience

✅ Consultant level (not fresh grad) in Quantity Surveying with experience in highways

✅ Experience in both pre\-contract and post\-contract estimating

✅ Exposure to consultancy environments (or a mix of consultancy \+ contractor experience)

This is not a pure contractor\-side role

✅ Understanding of cost intelligence / data\-driven cost management

✅ A proactive mindset: someone who wants to learn, question, and grow
