Duties
- Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the day\-to\-day operation of a fast\-paced injection moulding production area.
- Allocate daily production jobs and ensure work is completed efficiently and to schedule.
- Monitor production output, machine performance and productivity against targets.
- Coordinate and manage overtime requirements to meet production demands.
- Manage materials and stock, including pulling, counting and replenishing materials as required.
- Print and prepare production labels and ensure products are correctly identified and traceable.
- Carry out in\-process quality checks to ensure products meet the required specifications and quality standards.
- Complete final product inspections, including checking, packing and preparing finished goods for dispatch.
- Set up and operate injection moulding machines and associated equipment.
- Carry out basic machine maintenance, adjustments and fault finding, escalating more complex repairs where required.
- Ensure machines are running efficiently and production downtime is minimised.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised production environment, following company procedures and health \& safety requirements.
- Proven experience in manufacturing supervision or a similar leadership role within an industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and effectively.
- Knowledge of assembly processes, process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), and quality control standards.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate cross\-functional teams and relay technical information clearly.
- Ability to analyze data, identify opportunities for efficiency gains, and implement solutions proactively.
- Prior experience working with process improvement initiatives and continuous improvement strategies is highly desirable.
Pay: £15\.00\-£18\.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40\.0 per week
