Team Leader (Male) – Supported Living, Learning Disabilities \- Waking Night
Bradford \| £16\.00 per hour, rising to £16\.50 after successful 6\-month probation \| Urgent start available (We do not offer Sponsorship)
We are looking for an experienced, hands\-on Team Leader to help lead a supported living service in Bradford for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. This is a role for someone who leads from the front — visible on shift, setting the standard, and bringing fresh thinking to how we support the people who live in our service.
About the role
You will work alongside the Deputy Manager and Service Manager to keep the service running smoothly and to a high standard. Day to day, you will:
- Manage and organise the rota, covering shifts and ensuring safe staffing levels
- Lead on Active Support, making sure people are genuinely involved in their own lives, homes and routines
- Deliver staff supervisions, mentoring and coaching, and support new staff through induction
- Work directly with individuals who have complex needs and behaviours that challenge, modelling best practice on shift
- Attend multidisciplinary team meetings, reviews and professionals' meetings, representing the service and the people we support
- Ensure good governance — accurate records, medication practice, audits, incident reporting and follow\-up
- Support the management team with the overall day\-to\-day running of the service
Essential:
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in social care
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) experience and a strong understanding of how to apply it in practice
- Experience of working in challenging environments with people with complex needs
- Confident, calm and resilient, with the ability to lead by example and think creatively about problems
- Good written and IT skills for rotas, records and reporting
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Registration on the DBS Update Service
- Current PMVA training
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
- £16\.00 per hour, increasing to £16\.50 on successful completion of probation
- Urgent start — we can move quickly for the right candidate
