Practice Manager / Senior Accountant
Lancaster | Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience

We’re working with a well-established and respected accountancy practice in the Lancaster area that is looking to bring in an experienced practice professional who wants more than just a compliance role.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with clients and wants to take a bigger role in the future direction of a firm.
The Role
You’ll work closely with the partners across a broad client portfolio, taking ownership of work while also helping guide and develop more junior members of the team.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
- Supporting clients with tax planning and general business advice
- Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as their main point of contact
- Reviewing work completed by junior staff and supporting their development
- Getting involved in improving systems, processes and client service
What they’re looking for
- Practice background within an accountancy firm
- ACA / ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
- Comfortable managing client relationships
- Someone commercially minded who enjoys helping clients, not just producing accounts
- Ambition to progress towards Director or Partner level
