Practice Manager
Balance TwentyOne is a busy, progressive physiotherapy, Pilates, yoga and wellness practice with clinics in Killarney, Co. Kerry and Macroom, Co. Cork.
What started as one treatment room in 2013 is now two clinics, a team of chartered physiotherapists, massage therapists and instructors, and a full weekly timetable of reformer Pilates, mat Pilates, yoga and barre. We opened in Macroom in 2022, rebuilt and expanded the Killarney clinic in 2023, and we're not finished.
We're looking for a Practice Manager to run the day\-to\-day of both clinics.
24–30 hours per week across Monday to Thursday, roughly six to seven hours a day — though for the right person we'll work the pattern around you. €20–€24 an hour depending on experience. Starting October. Twelve months to begin with, with a view to the role growing into something full time.
WHAT THE JOB IS
This is the role that holds the place together.
People — co\-ordinating our massage therapists, instructors, auxiliary and cleaning staff. Rotas across two sites, day\-to\-day queries, making sure the building runs.
Suppliers and purchasing — stock, consumables and equipment. Ordering, negotiating, staying on top of servicing.
Finance administration — preparing the monthly invoicing and contract paperwork.
Compliance — CORU and healthcare paperwork, keeping our records where they need to be.
The timetable — scheduling our beginner courses and class blocks, and telling us when something isn't working.
Patients — the appointment diary across both clinics, and handling complaints when they arise.
Reception — a real part of the week. Our auxiliary covers some of the desk, but you'd be on it regularly, and more again over holidays and busy spells. We think a manager who knows what the front desk actually feels like is a better manager.
Ideas — we want someone who asks "why do we do it that way?", not someone who just keeps the wheels turning.
Pay: €20\.00\-€24\.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24\.0 – 30\.0 per week
Experience:
- reception or practice administration: 1 year (preferred)
