Picker/Packer/Warehouse Operative

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Picker/Packer/Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, preparing orders, and ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse processes. Responsibilities

• Accurately picking and packing goods according to order specifications


• Loading and unloading stock using appropriate manual handling techniques and forklift trucks where necessary


• Managing stock levels through effective stocking and replenishment procedures


• Operating warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and order processing


• Ensuring quality control standards are maintained throughout all stages of handling and packing


• Assisting with shipping and receiving activities, including documentation and labelling


• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations


• Supporting the movement of goods within the warehouse, including load securing and storage optimisation

Requirements

• Previous experience in warehousing, materials handling, or logistics is preferred but not essential as training will be provided


• Knowledge of forklift operation is advantageous but not mandatory; relevant certification is a plus


• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software is desirable


• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on a regular basis


• Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse equipment will be considered an asset


• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in picking, packing, and quality control tasks


• Good physical fitness to handle manual handling duties throughout shifts


• Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late shifts depending on operational needs
