CRO Specialist
We're a fast\-growing home fragrance brand on a mission to bring beautifully crafted scents into homes across the UK and beyond. With ambitious growth plans, a loyal customer base, and a strong focus on digital commerce, we're looking for a commercially minded CRO Specialist to help us unlock the next stage of our growth.
This is a high\-impact role reporting directly to the CEO, giving you the opportunity to shape and lead our conversion optimisation strategy across the entire customer journey.
The Role
As our CRO Specialist, you will own and drive the company's conversion rate optimisation programme. You'll use data, customer insights, testing, and experimentation to improve website performance, increase revenue, and enhance the customer experience.
You'll work closely with our internal marketing, design, and development teams to identify opportunities, prioritise tests, and implement changes that deliver measurable results.
This role is ideal for someone who combines analytical thinking with customer psychology and has a proven track record of driving growth through experimentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and own the CRO strategy across our eCommerce website.
- Develop and manage a structured A/B testing and experimentation roadmap.
- Analyse customer behaviour using analytics, heatmaps, session recordings, surveys, and other research tools.
- Identify friction points and opportunities throughout the customer journey.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to create and implement test variations.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on test performance and business impact.
- Use quantitative and qualitative data to generate insights and prioritise initiatives.
- Improve key metrics including conversion rate, average order value, revenue per visitor, and customer retention.
- Present findings, recommendations, and performance updates directly to the CEO and leadership team.
- Stay ahead of CRO best practices, emerging technologies, and eCommerce trends.
- 3\+ years of experience in CRO, eCommerce optimisation, growth, or digital performance roles.
- Proven experience designing, running, and analysing A/B and multivariate tests.
- Strong understanding of customer behaviour, UX principles, and conversion psychology.
- Advanced proficiency with analytics and experimentation tools.
- Experience with platforms such as Google Analytics, Shopify, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, VWO, Optimizely, Convert, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills with the ability to translate data into action.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
- Commercial mindset with a focus on measurable business outcomes.
- Experience in DTC eCommerce or consumer brands is highly desirable.
