Pharmacist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The successful applicant will have experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting, demonstrating their capability to manage complex medication regimens.

Duties

• Provide expert advice on the safe and effective use of medications to patients and healthcare professionals.


• Conduct thorough medication reviews and assessments, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.


• Administer medications accurately and monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects.


• Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement individualised treatment plans.


• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.


• Educate patients on medication management, including proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions.


• Stay updated on the latest developments in pharmacology, therapeutics, and clinical guidelines.

• A valid pharmacist registration with the relevant regulatory body.


• Proven experience in an ICU environment is highly desirable.


• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to pharmacotherapy.


• Excellent skills in patient care, demonstrating empathy and effective communication.


• Proficiency in medication administration techniques and protocols.


• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
