Job Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity for a People Partner to join our People team, supporting our Head Office functions and Group businesses, which includes a paper tissue converting facility, production and manufacturing operations, brewery production, and bar and restaurant businesses.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll work closely with managers and leaders to provide practical people advice, strengthen management capability and help create a positive colleague experience. Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll support a wide range of people matters, deliver people initiatives and use insight and data to identify opportunities that drive engagement, performance and continuous improvement.
Job Overview
- Building trusted relationships with managers and colleagues across Head Office and Group companies, providing practical, commercially focused people advice and support.
- Coaching and developing managers to strengthen people management capability and support effective decision\-making across all aspects of the colleague lifecycle.
- Leading and supporting colleague relations matters, including performance, attendance, conduct, capability, investigations, hearings and appeals, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
- Supporting colleague engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives that help create inclusive, high\-performing teams.
- Producing and interpreting people data and insight to identify trends, risks and opportunities, supporting informed decision\-making and continuous improvement.
- Supporting the development and implementation of people policies, processes and best practice, ensuring consistency across Head Office and Group businesses.
- Contributing to organisational change initiatives, transformation programmes and people projects that support strategic and operational priorities.
- Identifying opportunities to improve people processes, systems and ways of working, while collaborating across the wider People team to share best practice and enhance the colleague experience.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- CIPD Level 5 qualified, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Significant experience in an HR Advisor, People Advisor, HR Generalist, People Partner or similar role within a fast\-paced environment.
- Proven experience managing complex colleague relations cases and providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice to managers and leaders.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, colleague relations processes and people management best practice, with a sound understanding of the colleague lifecycle and organisational development principles.
- Experience supporting managers across a broad range of people matters, with the ability to coach, influence and challenge constructively.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and relationship\-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using people data and insight to identify trends, manage risk and support decision\-making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience of HR systems.
- A proactive, solutions\-focused and commercially aware approach, with a passion for creating a positive colleague experience and fostering an inclusive culture.
