Paediatric clinical support worker band 3
As a paediatric clinical support worker you will be working under the guidance of the nursing team and senior sister to deliver high quality clinical care to our patients.
You will be competent in completing clinical observations on patients and escalating appropriately to the nurse in charge.
You will be a valuable member of our team and in return we will invest in our staff with a comprehensive induction programme and providing further training and paths for progression.
To assist the nursing team to provide high quality care to our patients.
To work within the multidisciplinary team and utilize effective communication to promote excellent patient care.
Perform clinical observations on patients.
To help patients meet their hygiene and nutritional needs
Support the nursing team with enteral gravity feeding of patients.
Help escort patients safely throughout the hospital to different locations
Help maintain ward IPC standards
Maintain training compliance.
Complete Fire warden Training.

- To provide the highest standard of nursing care for patients under supervision of a registered nurse.
- To carry out assigned tasks including direct care and indirect care as delegated by the nursing team.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills both verbal and non verbal.
- Demonstrate high standards in record keeping.
- Support registered nursing staff with clinical treatments and investigations as appropriate, to the level of knowledge and skill.
- Escort of patients to other departments within the hospital. Ensuring patient safety \& dignity is maintained.
- Chaperone Patients, during clinical examinations as and when required, ensuring the patient’s privacy and dignity is maintained throughout.
