Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to oversee daily operations at our oak yard in \<LOCATION\>. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, experience in team management, and excellent communication abilities. This role involves coordinating office activities, supervising staff, and ensuring smooth workflow within the organisation. The Office Manager will play a vital part in maintaining an efficient and professional environment, supporting both operational and human resource functions.
Duties
- Manage day\-to\-day office operations, ensuring efficiency and organisation
- Oversee team management, including supervising staff and delegating tasks effectively
- Handle human resources responsibilities such as recruitment, onboarding, and employee records
- Utilise QuickBooks for financial record keeping, invoicing, and expense tracking
- Maintain accurate administrative records and perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Provide excellent communication with clients, suppliers, and internal teams via phone and email, demonstrating professional phone etiquette
- Organise schedules, meetings, and appointments to optimise workflow
- Assist with inventory management and procurement processes for the oak yard
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the office environment
- Proven experience in office management or administrative roles within a similar setting
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and general accounting practices
- Demonstrable team management and supervising experience
- Knowledge of human resources procedures and best practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Previous office experience including clerical and administrative duties
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining a collaborative approach
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: £24,420\.00\-£39,315\.41 per year
