We are looking to recruit a Band 5 Occupational Therapist in the Orthopaedic Therapy Team at York Hospital.

We are seeking motivated and proactive individual with a passion for Occupational Therapy. This post would suit a registered practitioner looking to develop specialist skills and knowledge in the area of Orthopaedics.

We are a welcoming, supportive team and are looking for someone who is keen to develop and promote Occupational Therapy in the trust.

We are proud to offer our Multi\-Professional Preceptorship Programme to all newly registered practitioners. This is a wonderful opportunity to welcome you into your new team and our Trust, providing you with support and guidance as you develop in confidence and competence. The programme lasts for 12 months and includes dedicated time, away from clinical practice to support new graduates’ transition from student to autonomous practitioner.

If you are an internal candidate applying for secondment, please ensure you have the permission of your current line manager first.

As a qualified registered occupational therapist, you will be responsible for delivering effective safe, quality, person\-centred care in the acute setting . You will be encouraged to develop your knowledge, skills and confidence across the 4 pillars of practice: Clinical, Leadership, Education and Research/Audit. You would be part of a dedicated, knowledgeable multi\-disciplinary team.

The role will allow the successful candidate to develop a broad range of skills and there are opportunities to work alongside experienced clinicians. The whole team are committed to on\-going staff training, development and supervision. You will have access to a leadership team including Occupational Therapy Clinical Lead, Management Team and Professional Leadership Team.
