The Radiology Department at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust employs a multi\-disciplinary team of clinical and non\-clinical staff, to provide high quality, customer\-focused and user\-friendly Diagnostic Radiology Service.

We are a friendly team with a great skill mix, which helps us support each other to provide patient\-centred care.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and well\-motivated individuals, who are suitably qualified and registered with the HCPC.

Previous CT experience is essential and as part of the CT scanning team you will be expected to work a variety of shifts to provide a service, 24/7\. York Hospital currently operates 2 Siemens CT scanners (Definition Edge and AS\+), with the replacement of a third CT scanner, a Canon Aquilion One INSIGHT CT for cardiac CT, in Autumn 2026\. We also staff a mobile CT scanner (Siemens Go TOP) to perform lung cancer screening checks out in the community. The existing Siemens scanners will be replaced in Spring 2027 with 2 Siemens Xceed CT scanners.

We are a forward\-thinking department committed to advanced practice currently undertaking extended roles, including vetting and reporting of CT head scans. We undertake a variety of CT examinations including Cardiac CT and colonography. The CT scanning team are supported to attend the Post Graduate Certificates in CT and Forensic Imaging, the National CT Colonography Academy and the Goodwood Cardiac CTA course.

Requirements of the role :

1\. Must have a degree in Diagnostic Radiography (or comparable higher education qualification in Diagnostic Radiography).

2\. Must be HCPC registered.

3\. Must have relevant prescribed clinical experience leading to qualification.

4\. Evidence of continuous professional development.

5\. Must have excellent communication skills, be calm under pressure and exhibit a caring attitude.
