Night Care Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Night Care Assistant to provide high\-quality care during overnight hours in a care home setting. The successful candidate will support residents' needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well\-being throughout the night. Duties

• Monitor residents' conditions overnight, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times


• Assist residents with personal care tasks as required, respecting their dignity and privacy


• Respond promptly to any calls or emergencies during the night shift


• Maintain accurate records of residents' wellbeing and any incidents that occur during your shift


• Support residents with mobility and repositioning to prevent pressure sores


• Follow care plans diligently, ensuring all individual needs are met according to prescribed guidelines


• Liaise with day staff during handovers to ensure continuity of care


• Adhere to health and safety policies, including infection control procedures


• Keep the environment clean, safe, and comfortable for residents

• Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided


• Good communication skills in English, with the ability to listen attentively and respond compassionately


• Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and completing documentation electronically


• Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately


• Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of care


• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals during overnight hours
