Key responsibilities


  • Assist engineers with operation and maintenance of main engine and auxiliary machinery

  • Carry out routine checks, lubrication and cleaning of engine room equipment

  • Monitor machinery parameters and report any irregularities

  • Keep engine room and workshop clean, safe and in good order

  • Follow safety procedures and take part in drills and watchkeeping duties

Requirements


  • Valid Motorman / Oiler (MTM) certificate and STCW documents

  • Previous experience in engine room on seagoing vessels, preferably bulk carriers

  • Good English communication skills

  • Fit for duty with valid medical certificate

  • Safety\-minded, hardworking and a team player willing to learn
