Chief Engineer (C/E) | Tanker – LCO2 Carrier

Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on an LCO2 tanker trading in/around Norway. Take full responsibility for the engine department, safe operations and maintenance of all machinery and systems onboard.

Permanent contract, follows a 4/4 weeks on/off rotation schedule.

• Key responsibilities:

+ Lead and supervise the engine department and engine room crew
+ Ensure safe and efficient operation of main engine, auxiliaries and all related systems
+ Plan and carry out maintenance and repairs according to company and class standards
+ Monitor fuel and lube oil consumption and maintain records
+ Ensure compliance with SMS, flag, class and international regulations
Cooperate closely with the Master and deck officers for safe cargo and vessel operations

• Requirements:

+ Valid Chief Engineer CoC (unlimited), meeting STCW requirements
+ Minimum of 2 years' sea service in the rank of Chief Engineer
+ Minimum of 2 years' experience serving on gas tankers (LPG, LNG, LCO₂, or other gas carriers), not necessarily as C/Eng
+ Valid STCW safety and tanker certificates
+ Good English communication skills
+ Strong leadership, safety mindset and hands\-on technical skills
+ Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
