Meetings & Events Coordinator
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Meetings \& Events Coordinator to join our team at Sudbury House Hotel.
This is a hands\-on role requiring previous hotel meetings and events experience together with a strong understanding of hotel operations. We are particularly interested in candidates who have gained experience within operational hotel departments before progressing into meetings and events.
The successful candidate must understand how events work in practice, not simply how they are booked. You will need to consider how decisions made during the planning process affect the delivery of an event on the day, including timings, room layouts, catering, guest movements, bedroom requirements and the wider hotel operation.
Excellent attention to detail and communication are essential. Information must be accurate, consistent and clearly communicated between the client and the operational teams responsible for delivering the event.
The role also has an important commercial focus. You will need to understand the hotel and its capabilities, confidently sell what we can do well and guide clients towards arrangements that meet their requirements while being operationally achievable.
The role covers meetings, conferences, weddings, private events and group accommodation bookings from initial enquiry through to final operational handover.
