Medical Receptionist

Wychbury Medical Group are looking to recruit a Medical Receptionist to work 17 hours per week at our Cradley Road Medical Practice. Hours will be:

· Tuesday 12:30 – 18:30

· Thursday 08:00 \- 13:00

· Friday 08:00 – 14:00

You must also be flexible to provide cover across the week for any annual leave and sickness.

The post holder will greet patients on entry to the practice and provide a point of communication between patients, doctors and other medical staff.

Duties will involve:

· Answering telephone calls, booking appointments and taking messages as required

· Dealing with all patient/visitor enquiries

· Using appointment systems to book appointments and recalls

· Explaining practice arrangements to new and temporary patients

· Ensuring consulting rooms and waiting areas are prepared and kept tidy each day

· Maintaining strict confidentiality at all times

Skills/abilities required:

· Excellent customer service skills

· Good standard of general education

· Strong communication skills both oral and written

· I.T. Literate

· Excellent organisation skills

· Flexible and adaptable

· Well motivated

· Previous work experience in a similar environment would be desirable

A DBS check will be requested for the successful applicant.
