The Job:
The Internal Sales Executive will be responsible for providing customers with product specifications, prices, delivery costs and times and expected Mill running times. They will also provide Head Office support for External Sales Executives.
The Internal Sales Executive will ensure that all goods, services and documentation are dealt with efficiently; that they are of the right quality and quantity, and that they are to the satisfaction of the Customer and Company.
Main Duties:
- To make outgoing Sales telephone calls.
- To ‘buddy up’ with a member of the External Sales Team to provide information on pricing, stock levels, service levels etc.
- To be competent in the use of the Company computer systems.
- To take incoming telephone calls to the Sales office, for example customer queries and orders.
- To perform general administrative duties.
- To attend any training sessions, “toolbox talks” or other company training given.
- To liaise with other departments to obtain transport and production information for customers.
- To grow relationships with existing and new customers.
- To show a willingness to be part of a team in a busy Sales office environment.
- Will have good basic IT skills.
- Will have good problem\-solving skills and be able to work on their own initiative.
- Will be able to display diplomacy and sensitivity when required.
- Will be resourceful and able to troubleshoot.
- Will have good analytical skills.
- Will have good basic verbal and written communication skills.
- Will have good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Will have good organisational abilities.
- Will be results\-driven.
- Will ideally have at least two years’ experience in the timber industry.
- Will want to seek a prosperous and rewarding career in a long\-established midlands organisation.
