Marketing Manager
We're hiring our first full\-time Marketing Manager to build and run the marketing function at Pro Gases UK. This is a hands\-on, broad role — you'll own everything from paid acquisition and CRM (Hubspot) to industry partnerships, events, and thought leadership content. You'll work directly with the Operations Director and our sales team, with real autonomy over budget, channels, and direction.
This is a true 360 role. You'll inherit a working performance marketing setup (paid ads, HubSpot, landing pages, email, social media etc) and your job is to take that foundation and build the wider marketing function on top of it: positioning Pro Gases as the credible independent voice in our industry, building partnerships with trade media like gasworld and the hospitality and welding press, growing our event presence, and developing the content strategy that ties it all together.
If you've ever wanted the scope of a marketing leadership role without waiting another five years to earn it, this is that opportunity.
What you'll do
- Own marketing strategy and budget: set the annual marketing plan across our beverage, industrial, and bulk green CO2 segments. Allocate budget across channels and report on impact to the leadership team.
- Run and grow our social media channels: improve and grow our already established social media channels, with engaging posts, content and videos.
- Run paid acquisition: manage Google Ads, Meta, and LinkedIn campaigns — either hands\-on or by directing our performance marketing specialist. Continually optimise CPL, conversion rates, and ROAS across our distinct customer segments.
- Own HubSpot and marketing automation: lead capture, lead scoring, lifecycle stages, email nurture sequences, and reporting dashboards. You're the person who knows where every lead came from and where it went.
- Build industry partnerships: secure paid content placements and partnerships across our key trade media — gasworld and the wider industrial gases press, the hospitality trade, the welding and manufacturing press, and the anaerobic digestion / sustainability media around our green CO2 story. Negotiate, deliver, and measure.
- Develop thought leadership content: build and run a content plan — articles, case studies, opinion pieces, customer stories — that positions Pro Gases as a credible independent voice. Our green CO2 story in particular is one we want to tell better. Write or commission as needed.
- Run our events programme: identify the right trade shows, conferences, and industry events for us to attend, sponsor, or speak at — from AD \& Biogas, welding shows, and BCGA events. Manage logistics, stand presence, collateral, and follow\-up.
- Manage external suppliers: performance marketing freelancers, designers, content writers, agencies, and event organisers. You're their single point of contact.
- Work with sales: sit in on sales calls, ride along with reps, understand our customers from Head Buyers of large carbonated drinks manufacturers to on the floor of fabrication shops. Feed that insight back into marketing. Build sales enablement materials that actually get used.
- Report and iterate: monthly dashboard on what's working, what isn't, and what's next. We care about pipeline and revenue, not vanity metrics.
You're an experienced B2B marketer (typically 4–7\+ years) who wants the scope and autonomy of running an entire marketing function in a real, growing business. You're equally comfortable in a HubSpot workflow and on the phone pitching a trade journalist. You're commercially minded — you think about pipeline and revenue, not just campaigns and clicks.
Must\-haves
- 4\+ years of B2B marketing experience, with a track record of delivering measurable results.
- Strong digital marketing experience — paid ads (Google and Meta), landing pages, email, and conversion optimisation.
- Hands\-on HubSpot experience (Marketing Hub Pro or Enterprise) or equivalent CRM/marketing automation platform.
- Excellent written English. You can write content that sounds like an expert, not a marketing brochure.
- Confident managing freelancers, suppliers, and external partners.

- Self\-starter mentality. You're comfortable owning the function without a marketing team around you.
- Right to work in the UK and able to be in our Bootle office.
- Experience marketing into renewable gases, manufacturing, welding, or industrial gases sectors.
- Existing relationships with trade media — gasworld, Morning Advertiser, the welding/manufacturing press, AD/sustainability publications, or similar.

- Experience as the first marketing hire in a growing SME.
