Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality or food service establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of culinary and hospitality practices. The Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive team environment and ensuring the smooth running of the business.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen and front\-of\-house staff, including servers, cooks, and baristas.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
- Manage daily operations, including staffing schedules, inventory control, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, including food safety standards and hygiene protocols.
- Lead team meetings, provide training, and support staff development to promote a motivated and efficient team.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints promptly to uphold excellent service standards.
- Monitor sales figures, analyse performance data, and implement strategies to optimise operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with suppliers for procurement of ingredients and supplies while managing budgets effectively.
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques. Kitchen experience is advantageous
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
- Experience in team management with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving procedures, hospitality standards, and kitchen management.
- Previous restaurant or barista experience is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to lead teams effectively and interact positively with customers.
