The State Hospital provides high secure psychiatric care for patients from Scotland and Northern Ireland. Our strategy is to ensure equitable provision of high quality, clinically effective services to meet the mental health and social care needs of all patients.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estates Department for a Maintenance Assistant.
You will provide a maintenance service including ground maintenance, assisting all craft trades and carrying out semi\-skilled duties in a wide range of hospital estates services tasks.
A flexible approach to work is necessary as variations to the standard working week may be required in order to meet the needs of the service. There will be a requirement for you to participate in the out\-of\-hour’s on\-call rota for winter maintenance between October and April.
Experience:
You should be able to demonstrate experience of assisting all craft trades, carrying out semi\-skilled duties and grounds maintenance in a wide range of hospital estates services tasks.
