Live in carer

2 Live In Personal Assistants required for disabled woman in her early 20s.

Shared Work pattern 2 weeks on/off

I have a progressive muscle weakening condition and currently use an electric wheelchair and need a lot of support.

This role involves;

Assist the employer with a range of social, work\-related and domestic activities, enabling her to be as independent as possible.
Assist the employer to get out and about, including driving the employers wheelchair.
Assist the employer with, laundry, shopping, light housework and administrative tasks.
Assist the employer with eating, drinking, preparing and cooking food.
Assist the employer with all aspects of personal care including use of a ceiling\-track hoist.
Assist the employer to be comfortable in bed overnight.

I am looking for friendly, caring and flexible people who have great communication skills, good energy and are happy to work on their own initiative.

Candidates must ;

Have high hygiene standards

Be Enthusiastic, outgoing and positive attitude.
Have Excellent communication, social and as interpersonal skills.
Previous experience supporting a disabled person is desirable, but not essential.

We are looking for someone who sees the small details in caring for someone and who treats the individual as they would expect to be looked after themselves. To be a companion as much as a carer.

Personal Assistants have their own private room in my house where they sleep or a self contained annexe.

All the bills will be paid (including rent, electricity, water, council tax and broadband )

Vacancy open to female applicants only. Candidates will be physically fit and ideally at least 165cm tall.

Aged between mid 20's to mid 40's. This position is active, involving hoisting, manual handling so has proved unsuitable for most who are older.

Being fluent in english is a necessity.

We are a warm and friendly family who value and appreciate our carers.

This is a self employed, live in position starting at £150/day

Employment is dependent upon the successful completion of a paid trial period.
