Late Shift Warehouse and Transport Coordinator

About the Role

We are looking for a versatile and reliable FLT Operator and Transport Planner to join our busy depot in Beverley. This is a unique, hybrid role split into two distinct parts: active warehouse work in the afternoon and office\-based transport planning in the evening.

You will spend the first part of your shift on the forklift, handling incoming and outgoing freight, before transitioning to the office to route and plan the next day’s network deliveries.

The shift will commence at 2pm and finish at 9pm.

35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse \& FLT Duties

• Safe and efficient operation of counterbalance forklifts.


• Loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring freight is handled with care.


• Sorting and organising palletised freight for various networks.


• Ensuring the warehouse is kept clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards.

• Planning and routing multi\-drop deliveries for the following day.


• Allocating freight efficiently across the fleet to maximise vehicle utilisation.


• Inputting data and managing consignments on our transport management systems.


• Ensuring routes make geographical and commercial sense.

• Licences: A valid, in\-date Counterbalance FLT licence is essential.


• Experience: Proven experience operating a forklift in a fast\-paced warehouse or transport depot environment.


• Planning Skills: Previous experience in transport planning, routing, or logistics administration. Experience with pallet networks is highly desirable.


• Local Knowledge: Strong geographical knowledge of the local area and surrounding postcodes.


• Tech\-Savvy: Confident using computers and transport management software.


• Working Style: A self\-starter who can seamlessly switch from physical warehouse work to focused, administrative planning.
