As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a commercially minded Internal Sales Executive to support and develop our expanding pipeline of automation projects.
The Opportunity
This is a key commercial role within the business, working closely with senior leadership to develop and progress new business opportunities.
You’ll play a hands\-on role in shaping bespoke automation solutions, supporting projects from initial enquiry through to quotation, while building strong relationships with customers across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound customer enquiries and assess project requirements
- Prepare budget estimates, quotations, and detailed proposals
- Work closely with the Sales Director and Operations Director to qualify and develop opportunities
- Support the external sales team with follow\-up, pipeline development, and customer engagement
- Engage with prospects to understand applications and help shape tailored automation solutions
- Proactively generate new business opportunities through outreach and LinkedIn activity
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, and activities within the CRM system
- Identify opportunities for repeat business, upgrades, and new applications
- Support marketing initiatives including campaigns, case studies, and events
- Work towards individual and team sales targets
- Experience in internal sales, technical sales, or an engineering\-led environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both commercially and technically
- Confident, professional telephone manner and customer\-facing approach
- Self\-motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple enquiries in a fast\-paced environment
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Interest in automation, engineering, or industrial systems (advantageous)
- Experience using CRM systems (desirable, not essential)
